Taguig schools get new equipment from Aboitiz

Students of Taguig National High School (NHS) and Taguig Integrated School 9IS) now have new equipment and facilities to help them in their educational journey. As part of its commitment to develop science-based skills among young students and bring alternative learning to high school graduates, the Aboitiz Foundation recently turned over newly refurbished special science classrooms equipped with reference books and multimedia package to Taguig IS and newly refurbished handicraft and refrigeration and air-conditioning servicing laboratories equipped with reference materials, tools, and equipment to Taguig NHS.

In 2014, the Aboitiz Foundation, in partnership with DepEd, went full blast on the development of special science elementary schools (SSES) and technical-vocational high schools. Currently, the Aboitiz Group supports 10 SSES and 35 tech-voc high schools nationwide.

The Aboitiz Group has long been supportive of the country’s public education system, believing this is where the Group can make the biggest impact. The Aboitiz Foundation’s most important goal is to achieve universal public education by establishing more Aboitiz BetterWorld schools that promise a better learning environment. This, in turn, supports one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, specifically on Quality Education (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all).
