APRI extends support in improving Tiwi’s health services

Furnishing a Healthier Community. Tiwi Mayor Jaime Villanueva received the donated medical beds during the turnover event at Bariis health center last January 24 flanked by (L)  Rural Health Midwife 1 Nora D. Crucillo, and (R) APRI’s  Jim Rey Recierdo.

Intending to support the quality health service of the municipality of Tiwi, AP Renewables Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower, and through the help of the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (AFI), donated medical supplies and equipment to its three host barangays, Lourdes, Bariis, and Cararayan, last January 24 and January 25, respectively.

APRI invested more than half a million pesos to the identified needed medical equipment of the local government units such as nebulizers, medical beds, digital weighing scales, and blood pressure apparatuses.

A barangay health worker of Bariis emphasized the benefit of receiving the medical equipment from APRI.

Hygiene kits were also donated that consisted of facemasks, hand towels, nail cutters, rubbing alcohol, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpastes, and disinfectant sprays.

Almost 5,000 residents of the three barangays will benefit from the set of medicines and medical equipment donated to their respective health centers.

“Healthcare is a pivotal aspect of our society. APRI firmly believes that health should be our topmost priority. As a way of advancing our business and communities, our organization continuously advocates the improvement of healthcare services in our host barangays through the provision of these medical supplies and medical equipment,” said APRI Vice President for Corporate Services Leonardo Robel, Jr.
