Aboitiz Group brings home eight Asian Excellence Awards
The Aboitiz Group was distinguished for its corporate governance initiatives with eight awards in the recent 5th Asian Excellence Award by Corporate Governance Asia.
AEV President and CEO Erramon Aboitiz was named Asia’s best CEO, while the whole group was awarded Best Corporate Communications Team and Best in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Aboitiz Equity Ventures’ (AEV) Chief Financial Officer, Stephen Paradies was also named Asia’s Best CFO.
All three companies, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, its power unit AboitizPower, and banking unit UnionBank, were awarded Best Investor Relations Company, while AboitizPower was also cited Best in Environmental Responsibility.
“These awards serve as an affirmation of our commitment to continuously uphold the interests of our stakeholders through the implementation of good governance and sustainable development practices,” said AEV President and CEO Erramon Aboitiz.
“It is also a testament to our vision to be a truly sustainable enterprise that we can entrust to future generations,” he added.
The Asian Excellence Awards is given by the journal Corporate Governance Asia, to recognize the best executives and corporations in Asia and institutionalize best practices across the region.
