Thrift Bank advocates practical wealth management

With its goal to enhance the practical wealth management knowledge of public school teachers, City Savings Bank (CitySavings) Project Peraparasyon has reached over 21,000 educators and personnel nationwide since May 2016.

Derived from the words “pera” and “preparasyon”, the program highlights how CitySavings strengthens its good governance advocacy to nurture the financial well-being and protect the interest of consumers by promoting financial education and awareness.

Jessica B. Orio from B. Quibal Memorial Elementary School, Palapag, Northern Samar shared, “The good thing about CitySavings is their fervent efforts exerted on this training and constant support to help us teachers appreciate better the importance of wealth management”.

This signature Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative includes a comprehensive discussion about intelligent finance utilization to equip participants for a financially stable future.

“I’ve been a client of CitySavings and through this training program, I can now handle my finances wisely. I’ve learned to value the loans that I received” said Nestor Gobrin, a public school teacher from Buenavista National High School in Negros Occidental.

To date, CitySavings has conducted more than 180 training sessions nationwide. The bank continues to provide easy and convenient financing experience for teachers complemented with financial inclusion programs that greatly impact its stakeholders to advance business and communities.
