Therma Mobile supports school reopening with teaching aid supplies in Navotas

[L-R] Present in the event are DepEd Navotas Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Alejando, AboitizPower Reputation Manager Kristian Anderson Santos,  and Reputation Senior Specialist Camille Midua.  School representatives Dr. Floreta Quijano of Kapitbahayan Elementary School and Dr. Ma. Cristina Miclat of Kaunlaran HIgh School were also in the event to receive the donation to their respective schools.

In an effort to continue providing assistance as schools reopen, AboitizPower subsidiary Therma Mobile, Inc. (TMO) in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (AFI) and the Department of Education (DepEd) recently donated 210 teaching aid kits to teachers in Navotas City.

This follows TMO’s continuous support after distributing handwashing facilities to schools around the city last March. Select outstanding teachers from 16 schools in Navotas each received a teaching aid kit composed of a wifi kit and load cards, which will support the shift to a hybrid setup of learning in the upcoming school year.

Schools Division Superintendent Alejandro Ibañez acknowledges the huge role of partnerships with organizations to help respond to the crucial needs for the safe reopening of schools.

“Aboitiz Foundation and AboitizPower have been helping education institutions around the country. Navotas is truly blessed to have taken part in this initiative for our teachers. Without partnerships, we can only depend on our own resources and we cannot survive,” Ibañez said.

For TMO’s part, AboitizPower Reputation Manager Kristian Anderson Santos underscored their commitment of staying true to their mission of helping communities for a better future.

“As we transition to a new and better normal, this donation will be a big help to our teachers. We are thankful for the opportunity to assist the needs of teachers in Navotas City. You can count on us that while AboitizPower Therma Mobile is in Navotas, we will be here to help. Because AboitizPower doesn’t only energize the nation, we also contribute to nation building, in line with our promise of advancing business and communities,” Santos said.

Meanwhile, AboitizPower subsidiaries across the country also conducted their respective teaching aid projects. Therma Power-Visayas, Inc. (TPVI) turned over printing equipment and supplies in Naga, Cebu; Therma Marine, Inc. (TMI) provided tablet devices with wifi kits in Maco, Davao De Oro plus wifi kits, printing equipment, and other supplies in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. #
