In support of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision for a digitally inclusive Philippines, the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) – Digital Infrastructure has recommended the accelerated deployment of telecommunications infrastructure, particularly in underserved and far-flung communities. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader push to modernize the country’s digital landscape and drive inclusive economic growth.
Aboitiz Foundation, the social development arm of the Aboitiz Group, celebrates its achievements in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to creating positive impacts through its strategic pillars: Future Leaders, Jobs, and Climate Action. “This program is a source of hope for children in remote areas,” said Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar, Aboitiz Foundation President. “With the AuroraPH program, we’re bringing solar power, internet, and technology to schools in far-flung parts of the country. This helps improve learning, bridge the digital gap, and prepare students for the future. We started in 2024 with 11 schools, and now over 2,000 students and teachers are benefiting.”
Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) has changed the company’s legal name from “Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc.” to “Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines, Inc.” (CCEAP).“
Both projects aim to significantly improve MNC’s facilities. These enhancements are expected to boost food security in the region while creating job opportunities for the local communities.
The Private Sector Advisory Council – Digital Infrastructure Sector (PSAC – Digital) reports the substantial progress made by the Connectivity Plan Task Force (CPTF) in enhancing internet infrastructure across Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) in the Philippines. Led by Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe Telecoms, the CPTF is effectively addressing digital connectivity challenges in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
