Future Lawyers Awarded Aboitiz Scholarships

Believing that the youth are the future leaders and movers of the country, the Aboitiz Foundation, in cooperation with Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) Legal and Corporate Services Department, extended scholarship grants to three deserving and qualified students of the University of the Philippines College of Law in Diliman, Quezon City. Aside from providing financial assistance, the program aims to mold the scholars into professionals with a passion for corporate social responsibility and steeped in the culture of sustainability and good governance. The scholarship consists of a monetary grant amounting to P75,000 per semester per scholar to cover costs of tuition, books and miscellaneous expenses. Aboitiz is one of the university’s top scholarship grantors.

As of end-2015, the Aboitiz Foundation has awarded three post-graduate scholarships and financial assistance in addition to these new scholarship grants.

The Aboitiz Foundation’s most important goal is to achieve universal public education. This, in turn, supports one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, specifically on Quality Education (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all).
