Ayala donates P25M to help build a #WeatherWiser nation

WeatherPhilippines Foundation has partnered with Ayala Corporation to encourage Filipinos to optimize weather knowledge for socio-economic growth.

With the common goal of building a #WeatherWiser nation, Ayala Corporation has committed to become a Platinum Sponsor of WeatherPhilippines through  a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed last October 22.

Under the MOA, Ayala will donate a total of P25 million in the next 10 years, amounting to P2.5 million per annum, to fund the operations and sustainability of WeatherPhilippines. Ayala facilities in strategic locations nationwide will now also host automated weather stations (AWS), adding to the 755 AWS already installed by WeatherPhilippines.

“WeatherPhilippines looks forward to establishing strong, sustainable, and inclusive collaborations with corporate entities who want to utilize weather information not just for disaster preparedness, but for business continuity and sustainable development as well,” said WeatherPhilippines General Manager Celso Caballero III.

Other platinum donors who are taking part in building a #WeatherWiser nation include: International Container and Terminal Services, Inc., Nickel Asia Corp., SM Supermalls, Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc., and LBC Express, Inc.
