AEV bags 2023 Asia-Pacific Stevie Award for Innovative HR Achievement

Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) has added another laurel to its name with its recent win at the 2023 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.

Recognized for its Innovative Achievement in Human Resources, AEV continues to transform the future of work through modern technology made to attract, optimize, and retain talent, anchored on its brand promise and purpose of driving change for a better world.

“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition for our innovative achievements in human resources. At AEV, we believe that our people are our greatest asset, and investing in their development and well-being is crucial to our success as a Group,” said AEV Vice President for Corporate Human Resources Zabs Luna Tan-Chong.

The Aboitiz Group banks on constructive and disruptive leadership to steer the wheel as it undergoes its Great Transformation to become the Philippines’ first Techglomerate, driven by technology and a renewed entrepreneurial mindset.

“The 10th edition of the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards drew many remarkable nominations. The organizations that won this year have demonstrated that they are committed to being innovative, and we applaud them for their perseverance and creativity,” said Stevie Awards President Maggie Miller.

CHRis bot, AEV’s improved chatbot, for one, was borne out of the Super Ditch Day (SDD) and Aboitiz Digital Entrepreneurial and Agile Innovation (ADEA) initiatives, which give team members and leaders the power to communicate suggestions and ideas to implement across the board.

Designed to provide HR information round the clock, CHRis bot also has a social listening and engagement feature that enables it to do regular pulse checks on topics such as employee experience and engagement, performance management, and GT activities.

MyTX, the company’s core talent experience platform, was also further enhanced for easier navigation. As the single source of all talent data, it grants employees access to tools like those relating to payment, reimbursements, timekeeping, health and wellness, and other important information and documents.

    #LifeAtAboitiz

Building on human capital, in 2022, AEV launched various talent attraction, optimization, and development programs that all the more highlight its culture.

These include #LearningLunes, a weekly learning session for in-demand skills and competencies; Recog-NICE, for employee recognition; external blog and newsletter Aboitiz Eyes; the Aboitiz Academy; Welcome Aboard, UpClose, and SuperDuperCon, monthly town hall meetings for new hires, team members and leaders, and the whole Aboitiz Group that is personally spearheaded by President and CEO Sabin Aboitiz himself.

To ensure the best working experience, AEV, through MyBen, now allows its employees to create their own benefits package by converting unused perks into points that they can use to avail of products and services fit for their needs.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards honors innovation in every aspect of work-life and is judged by more than 100 executives throughout the APAC region.
