AEV, AboitizPower win big at PSE Bell Awards 2017

Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) and Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) were once again honored by the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) as one of the country’s best listed companies in corporate governance at the PSE Bell Awards held last November 10 at the Makati Shangri-La.

AboitizPower was the winner of this year’s PSE Bell Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance in the Listed Companies category, under which AEV was also a finalist.

AEV, for its part, won in the first-ever Special Category Awards, bagging the Best Compliance and Ethics Program award for “best exemplifying a strong compliance and ethics culture through adherence to pertinent regulatory, legal, and ethical obligations and the effective detection and prevention of unlawful and improper conduct.”

The PSE Bell Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance is a PSE initiative to promote good corporate governance among listed companies and trading participants.

AEV was a PSE Bell Awardee in 2015 and 2013 while AboitizPower was a PSE Bell Awardee in 2016 and 2014.

“We are pleased to have been recognized by the PSE for our efforts in good corporate governance. Good corporate governance practices have strengthened and supported the Aboitiz culture, purpose, and brand,” Erramon I. Aboitiz, AEV President and Chief Executive Officer, remarked.

“Good governance and transparency is ingrained in how we do our business. It shows how much value you give to your team, your partners, and the investors. This mindset drives us to excellence in the way we do things and in the way treat our stakeholders up to our host communities,” said Antonio R. Moraza, AboitizPower President and Chief Operating Officer.
