Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) emerged as the country’s Best Managed Company, while its President and CEO Erramon I. Aboitiz was named Philippines’ Best CEO, and AboitizPower FVP and CFO Iker M. Aboitiz , 2nd runner-up, Best CFO by leading regional trade publication Finance Asia at this year’s ‘Asia’s Best Companies’ poll.

AEV and AboitizPower also ranked 5th and 10th in Best Corporate Governance; 7th and 4th in Best Investor Relations, and 9th and 3rd in the Most Committed to a Strong Dividend Policy, respectively. The power subsidiary also placed 3rdas Best Managed Company and 7th in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category.

Mr. Iker Aboitiz,  AEV SVP and Chief Reputation and Risk Management Officer Susan V. Valdez, and AEV-Investor Relations AVP Dave Valeriano accepted the citations in behalf of Mr. Erramon Aboitiz and the companies during a dinner ceremony held last June 19.

“We wouldn’t have achieved these recognition if not for the relentless efforts of our team members. Our strength lies in everyone’s collective efforts,” Mr. Aboitiz said.

The annual poll, which aims to determine Asia’s prime companies across key industries, reflects the opinion of selected financial managers and investment professionals in the region.

Last year, AboitizPower placed 3rd in the Investor Relations category, Mr. Erramon Aboitiz was 2nd runner-up Best CEO, and Mr. Iker Aboitiz, 2nd runner-up Best CFO.
