Aboitiz Foundation’s enterprise development program bags Go Negosyo Award
The Aboitiz Foundation, the social development arm of the Aboitiz Group, was recently cited by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE)-Go Negosyo for its enterprise development initiatives.
Through Go Negosyo’s “Mentor Me Awards,” the Aboitiz Foundation was recognized “for being an enabler to Filipino micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs and for being a solid partner in helping build an entrepreneurial nation.” A plaque of recognition was awarded to the Aboitiz Foundation during a dinner program for PCE’s 10th year anniversary.
“With community engagement as an essential part of corporate social responsibility the Foundation constantly empowers beneficiaries in creating a better future for themselves,” said Sonny Carpio, Aboitiz Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
For 23 years now, the Aboitiz Foundation has been assisting small enterprising organizations across the country earn additional income by providing them with access to income-generating activities and livelihood opportunities.
Recently, the Foundation obtained an accreditation from the Cooperative Development Authority as a certified technical training provider, which would allow more cooperatives throughout the country to benefit from the Foundation’s free technical trainings.
