Aboitiz Foundation provides assistance to Taguig fire victims
The Aboitiz Foundation turned over to the Philippine Red Cross relief packs containing hygiene kits for the 76 fire-affected families in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig City last March 4.
Each of the distributed packs contained a dipper, a detergent bar, toiletries, a towel, alcohol, among other personal hygiene items that provided immediate relief to the fire victims.
“On behalf of the beneficiaries of Barangay Hagonoy, we are extending our sincerest gratitude to the Aboitiz Foundation for their generosity,” Julian Beato, Philippine Red Cross- Rizal Chapter Administrator said.
The Aboitiz Group, through the Aboitiz Foundation, implements programs on disaster preparedness, relief, and rehabilitation.
To date, the group has helped more than 234,000 families in terms of relief assistance, but at the same time it is working to reduce future similar incidents through a community-based disaster risk reduction management program which it is set to roll out this year to various communities nationwide.
This initiative is aligned with the Aboitiz Foundation’s strategy of co-creating safe, empowered, and sustainable communities, and is part of its contribution to the Group’s efforts to advance business and communities.
