Aboitiz Equity Ventures cited for good corporate governance at PSE Bell Awards

Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) was once again honored by the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) as one of the country’s best listed companies in corporate governance last November 25 at a ceremony at the Makati Shangri-La.

AEV, a PSE Bell Awards finalist last year, was also a PSE Bell Awardee in 2013 while AEV’s power subsidiary, AboitizPower, was a PSE Bell Awardee last year.

“We are pleased to have been recognized by the PSE for our efforts on good corporate governance, because we believe this creates long-term value for our businesses and all our stakeholders. We are convinced that this is a sensible, appropriate, and sustainable way to move forward as a business enterprise,” Erramon I. Aboitiz, AEV President and Chief Executive Officer, remarked.

Aside from AEV, other listed companies that were honored at this year’s PSE Bell Awards were Philex Mining Corporation, Globe Telecom, Inc., Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., and China Banking Corporation.

Since 2012, the PSE has been honoring the five best-performing listed companies based on their compliance with the latest corporate governance guidelines and relevant rules and regulations, recognizing the crucial role of good governance in ensuring sound corporate practices and investor confidence.
