Aboitiz-DAP-NUCESO Course for Career Civil Service Executives Now Open For Registration

The Aboitiz Group, Development Academy of the Philippines-Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM), and the National Union of Career Executive Service Officers (NUCESO), Inc. are inviting career executive service officers (CESOs) and other third-level government officials to sign-up for the upcoming Executive Course on Leadership, Innovation, Communication, and Knowledge Management (CLICK) program.

Now entering its third year, CLICK has been a vital learning forum for leaders in government particularly in a volatile environment that is further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. As the key decision-makers in their respective national agencies and government-run organizations, all selected co-learners will be equipped with holistic leadership and strategic management skills to adapt to the evolving landscape of public service.

“The past few years have highlighted the importance of capable leadership in navigating the challenges and uncertainties of the health crisis. As part of our Great Transformation into a techglomerate, Aboitiz views it as our important responsibility to contribute to assisting our government leaders in enhancing their skills as they hit the ground running and build on the gains of their predecessors and contemporaries in the public sector,” said Aboitiz Group President and CEO Sabin M. Aboitiz.

As the official private sector partner of CLICK and an institutional member of NUCESO, the Aboitiz Group will provide resource persons and experts to help foster a great transformation in public service that is grounded on best practices in transformational leadership, public management, strategic communications, digital enablement, and  governance in Public-Private Partnerships.

“The continued success of the CLICK program for the second consecutive year, as well as our fruitful partnership with DAP and NUCESO, is a testament to the importance of public-private partnerships and its role in filling the gaps in knowledge and resources to meet the evolving demands of the general public,” Aboitiz emphasized.

The 54-hour CLICK3 Executive certificate course will cover six modules with classes delivered both in synchronous and asynchronous modalities with a few face-to-face sessions from August to October 2022.  Unique to the course is its capstone project as its final output where participants will integrate all their key learnings into their individual policy foresight papers poised to be operationalized in their respective agencies in the next two to five years.

With the theme “Leadership and Transformation for the Future,” the program also serves as a platform for government leaders to seamlessly engage in knowledge sharing, networking, and building lasting partnerships with their contemporaries in the public sector and enable the transformation of the bureaucracy to become more holistic and future-ready.

“The CLICK program continues in its mandate to build the capabilities of senior officials with a strong focus on public governance, futures thinking, and strategic foresight.  Our classes are interactive and inclusive, where everyone’s ideas are heard and valued,”  DAP Graduate School Dean Dr. Lizan Perante-Calina shared.

”Participants will be exposed to a community of fellow public servants hailing from different agencies and regions, providing co-learners a deeper understanding of the government and a fresh perspective on every aspect of governance,” NUCESO President ASec. Lynn Danao-Moreno further added.

Prospective government officials may refer to the DAP and NUCESO Facebook pages for more information on how to register for the program.  Registration is also ongoing via https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdH4Sb0ps4dr_G_zwNdUJFQx87mCJ8HLeelWy0FddVfCYhacA/viewform
