Aboitiz Construction unveils new image as it scales new heights in 2022
Aboitiz Construction, Inc. (Aboitiz Construction), the construction arm of the Aboitiz Group, unveiled its new brand identity this month. Inspired by its mission of economic growth and advancing communities primarily by providing livelihood to Filipinos, the refreshed brand identity represents elements that highlight Aboitiz Construction’s transformation and ambitions.
“Our rebranding signifies our bold move to establish a strong national presence in the construction industry and solidify our trademark as the official construction arm of the Aboitiz Group. We aim to be regarded as a top-of-mind and reliable contractor that is committed to helping other businesses thrive, generating job opportunities, and building a better Philippines,” said Aboitiz Construction Chairman and President Anton Mari G. Perdices.
The company started its operations in Cebu in 1975, and has since expanded its footprint nationally by participating in more diversified construction projects. This year, it will focus on projects in both heavy and light industries, infrastructure, maintenance and manpower services.
By the end of 2022, it is set to complete one of its biggest projects to date, which is the construction of a 26,000 square meter warehouse and office buildings for a logistics giant in Parañaque City.
The new identity also marks the 46 years of Aboitiz Construction in the industry and reflects a forward mission to build world-class structures with quality and safety in mind.
Building towards a better future
The new company logo, which is a building block, echoes the stability, credibility, and confidence about the future of Aboitiz Construction. The icon emphasizes agility, discipline and grit—markers of a re-energized business, as evidenced by Aboitiz Construction kicking off its successful Big Shift Strategy last 2021. The new color palette represents winning, sustainability, and fuel for nation-building.
Expanded footprint
Known as a Cebu-based company, Aboitiz Construction extended its reach nationally with larger and more diversified construction projects throughout the archipelago.
“Our refocused portfolio is geared towards promoting our competent capabilities in various projects where we can take part. Furthermore, our historical and iconic achievements can attest to our ability to build and enable more businesses situated in various locations in the country to thrive and succeed,” Mr. Perdices added.
In Luzon, key projects expected to be completed this year are the construction of 53 transmission poles, additional scope to the recently completed design and construction of 69kV overhead transmission line for LIMA Enerzone, and 25 poles for Malvar Enerzone Corporation aimed at supplying power to businesses and residential areas in Batangas. Aboitiz Construction also targets to complete the facility construction works for the expansion of a petrochemical complex in Batangas City this 2022.
Recently, Aboitiz Construction sealed a deal with Lima Enerzone to construct the overhead transmission poles that will cover the areas of Lipa City and Malvar in Batangas.
Aboitiz Construction is instrumental in the successful completion of the construction of CD Processing Ltd.’s copper ore sorting and processing plant in Toledo City, Cebu. Through this project, the company was able to broaden its growing sustainability efforts by reinforcing systematic waste management and sustainable mining.
In Mindanao, the design and construction of Berth 4 for Davao International Container Terminal in Davao del Norte is another milestone that will help in the efficient logistics of agricultural and commercial products locally and offshore. In Surigao del Norte, Aboitiz Construction will complete its three-year maintenance services for a hydrometallurgical processing plant.
Last year, Aboitiz Construction finished the design and construction of Berth no. 4 for Davao International Container Terminal (DICT) in Panabo City, Davao del Norte. This project further elevated the brand of DICT as one of the most modern ports in the country.
Committed to uplifting local communities, Aboitiz Construction added a total of 1,730 new employees nationwide into its workforce last year. With an expanded portfolio, Filipino communities can look forward to thousands more employment opportunities with the company this 2022.
Within the first quarter of the year, Aboitiz Construction will mobilize its land development project for the 57 hectares of land owned by Lima Technology Center in Batangas. Once completed, this will house industrial structures and will accommodate new business locators, spurring economic growth and activity in the Luzon South.
The launch of the new brand is timely as Aboitiz Construction bravely takes its business to new heights, while remaining steadfast in its mission and rooted in its time-honored corporate values of responsibility, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and execution excellence.
