Aboitiz Construction takes part in the delivery of the largest high-speed ferry in PH

Aboitiz Construction (ACI) successfully fabricated and installed 20 tons of pillars to the FSTR, a 109 meter high-speed catamaran ferry that was completely delivered by Austal Philippines and considered to be the largest aluminum vessel ever constructed in the country.

The installed pillars consist of hollow tubes that support the mezzanine of the largest ferry by volume that can transport 1,200 passengers and 404 vehicles.

“Our involvement in this project with Austal proves our commitment to delivering quality outputs. We have other ongoing projects with them on shipbuilding and we are optimistic to demonstrate our expertise and further elevate our mission to build a better future,” said Anton Mari G. Perdices, Director, President, and Chairman of ACI.

Since 2011, Aboitiz Construction has been continuously working with Austal Philippines  for their construction requirements.  Some of the notable projects were the expansion and upgrade of factory facilities that include civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical works.

There are also ongoing projects of Aboitiz Construction with Austal that involve the construction of additional mooring bitt, and fabrication of pillars and floating docks to other ferries of the company.

Aboitiz Construction is the construction arm of one of the biggest conglomerates in the Philippines, the Aboitiz Group,  and is a privately-held company, with a 45-year track record in building structures of value with quality and safety in mind that advance businesses and communities and contribute to building a better future. #
