Aboitiz Construction celebrates 43rd year with brand refresh and milestone international projects
Aboitiz Construction, Inc. (ACI) the building and construction arm of Aboitiz and Co., launches its brand refresh with the battle cry “Build better together” in its new corporate video that aptly communicated the company’s transformation into a fully-fledged engineering, procurement, and design company.
With its commitment to grow the business and to create shared value for all its stakeholders, the management rebranded the company into Aboitiz Construction, Inc. (ACI) and established its international arm, Aboitiz Construction International, Inc. ( ACII ). This move is aligned with the strategic direction to leverage on the Aboitiz brand and to position the business as a full-service engineering, procurement and construction company.
With this move, ACI will pursue new markets and revenue sources while strengthening its industry foothold and enhancing its value proposition that provides customers with the company’s signature RISQ approach, which stands for Reliability, Integrity, Safety, and Quality. ACI has built a solid reputation of completing safe, on-time, and on-budget projects in power, oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, transportation, and cement sectors.
Albert A. Ignacio, President and Chief Operating Officer said that the benefit of being part of the Aboitiz Group is the tremendous opportunity to expand our business at a global scale while we synergize with the local strategic business units of Aboitiz like Pilmico, Aboitiz InfraCapital, Republic Cement, and AboitizLand, which have already the paved the way for new and recurring projects.
“In doing this, we are also happy to share that we provide local jobs while we pursue our growth potential in the Engineering and Construction industry, allowing us to truly manifest the Aboitiz brand promise of Advancing Business and Communities,” he said.
On its 43rd year in business, ACI bagged numerous projects including the facility expansion of a shipbuilding company in Cebu and modular fabrication work for a plant in Canada. It has a lineup of projects for a power plant in Sarangani, a petrochemical plant in Bataan, The Outlets in Lipa in Batangas, fabrication works for a Korean and a Japanese company, among others. To date, ACI has provided services to clients in 18 countries, offering modular fabrication works for heaters, heat exchangers, and similar specialty services.
ACI has also processed more inquiries and requests for quotations from Japanese and Chinese firms, and from both new and repeat clients. Twenty-five percent of its open orders come from Japanese clients. ACI is currently in negotiations with Chinese engineering, procurement, and construction entities either as a joint venture partner, or a major subcontractor for their projects here in the country.
