Aboitiz Cleanergy Center Hosts LCF Environment Committee

Participants toured around the Cleanergy Center in the Admin Compound of the Makban Geothermal Power Plant in Barangay Bitin, Bay, Laguna

The League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) Environment Committee conducted the Klima ng Pagbabago sa Nagbabagong Klima Conference last July 22, 2014, at the Cleanergy Center of the MakBan Geothermal Power Plant.

AP Renewable Inc. and WeatherPhilippines Foundation, Inc. hosted the conference, where 66 CSR practitioners and representatives from different foundations in the country participated in talks about the relevance of climate change in sustainable and strategic planning, decision-making, and disaster-preparedness. Guest speakers for the event were WWF-Philippines Vice Chair Jose Ma. Lorenzo “Lory” Tan, and Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition Team Physician Dr. Teofredo ‘Ted’ Esguerra.

This conference organized by the LCF’s Environmental Committee is one of several special events spearheaded by different LCF Committees during the celebration of the LCF CSR Expo 2014.
