4 Cebu Schools Receive Science Labs with Equipment

Lahug Elementary School pupils and Principal Dr. Joelyza Arcilla joyfully receive the science laboratory equipment donated by Aboitiz Foundation, here represented by its EVP & Managing Trustee Sonny Carpio. Joining them is DepEd Superintendent Rhea Mar Angtud (second from left).

Students in four public schools in Cebu are now able to have hands-on laboratory experience in research and experimentation following the turnover of science laboratories and equipment to public schools.

The recipient schools were Arcelo National High School, Jugan National High School, Maghaway National High School and Lahug Elementary School.

“Responsibility to take good care of these donations and performing well are the best gift you could give to us,” said Aboitiz Foundation EVP & Managing Trustee Sonny Carpio to the students during the turnover.

Cebu Province Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Judiana Corriente thanked Aboitiz Foundation for the donation it has given to public schools.

“With this donation, it is hoped that our students will gain more practical and hands-on understanding of the lesson and will make them sweep into the excitement of discovery,” she said.
