As communities across the Visayas and Mindanao continue to recover from typhoon “Tino,” the Aboitiz Group, through the Aboitiz Foundation, remains at the forefront of relief and recovery efforts. The ongoing operations, focused in Cebu, Bohol, Negros Occidental, Iloilo and Dinagat Islands, reflect the Group’s enduring promise to advance business and communities, even in times of crisis.
This coordinated effort builds on OneAboitiz’s earlier earthquake response in Cebu and Davao, and now extends to preparations for the impact of super typhoon “Uwan.” It underscores the Group’s proactive and unified approach to helping communities not only recover but also prepare for upcoming challenges.
Unified OneAboitiz Relief Effort
As part of its unified approach, the Aboitiz Foundation has mobilized its various business units — including Aboitiz Equity Ventures, AboitizPower, UnionBank, Aboitiz InfraCapital, Aboitiz Foods, Aboitiz Land and Economic Estates, Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines, Aboitiz Construction, and other subsidiaries across the Group — to provide immediate aid such as food packs, clean water, and technical support in power restoration.
So far, running totals from ongoing operations show that the Group has distributed over 20,300 food and non-food packs and more than 217,800 liters of clean water, with total assistance currently valued at ₱3.8 million and counting. These efforts have so far reached nearly 14,200 households across the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
“This is OneAboitiz in action — business units, employees, and partners working together to bring help where it’s needed most,” said Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar, Aboitiz Foundation President. “Our teams are collaborating not just to respond, but to help communities recover and rebuild.”

“Volunteerism and solidarity are at the heart of the Aboitiz way — we move as one family for those in need,” said Hontiveros-Malvar. “Our goal goes beyond immediate relief — we aim to empower communities to stand stronger against future challenges.”

Power Restoration and Technical Support
Beyond humanitarian relief, AboitizPower’s Distribution Group swiftly mobilized teams to support power restoration in Cebu and nearby provinces.
These coordinated actions reflect the Group’s readiness and unity in bringing back vital services to affected communities.
“Our teams in Davao Light, Cotabato Light, and Visayan Electric moved quickly as one to bring back essential services,” said Anton Mari Perdices, AboitizPower SVP and COO for Distribution. “That’s what the OneAboitiz spirit is — coming together with speed, skill, and heart.”
