Global sustainable infrastructure company ACCIONA is entering the Philippine integrated facilities management (IFM) market through ACCIONA Facility Management Philippines, a new joint venture (JV) with Aboitiz Construction, Inc., the engineering and construction arm of the Aboitiz Group.
The new venture brings together ACCIONA’s global expertise in IFM and Aboitiz Construction’s nationwide presence and 50 years of engineering expertise, combining international capabilities with deep local knowledge to serve clients across the Philippines.
Through ACCIONA Facility Management Philippines, the joint venture will provide IFM services covering maintenance and technical services, business process outsourcing (BPO), logistics, support services, and cleaning and housekeeping to high-value and technically demanding sectors, including pharmaceuticals, industry, corporate environments, and transport infrastructure across the Philippines.
Innovation and technology will be central to the JV’s operating model, with lean methodologies, digital tools, and innovative processes supporting operational efficiency, service quality, and continuous improvement.
For Aboitiz Construction, the joint venture represents a strategic partnership into IFM, building on its five decades of engineering and technical expertise while leveraging the capabilities of a global partner.
“Partnering with ACCIONA combines our strong local presence and 50 years of engineering experience with global expertise in integrated facilities management to deliver world-class solutions in the Philippines,” said Anton Mari Perdices, President and Chairman of Aboitiz Construction.
“We chose ACCIONA because of their competence, internal capabilities, and their successful model of international expansion, alongside the alignment between our values and the way we believe the business should be conducted,” said Antonio Peñalver, Executive Director of Aboitiz Construction.
For ACCIONA, the partnership establishes its presence in the Philippine IFM market and creates a platform to bring its international facilities management strengths to clients in the Philippines.
“The Philippines is a strategic market for ACCIONA and an important hub for our presence in Asia. This joint venture with Aboitiz allows us to bring our extensive international know-how, innovation and digital capabilities in Integrated Facility Management to support the evolving needs of clients and build a strong platform for long-term growth,” said Ruben Camba, Managing Director, ACCIONA Southeast Asia Infrastructure.
“Our extensive international experience in Integrated Facility Management allows us to deliver innovative, efficient and tailored solutions for complex facilities. Through ACCIONA Facility Management Philippines, we look forward to bringing these capabilities to clients across the country,” said Maximiliano Ades, Global Head of ACCIONA Facility Services
ACCIONA brings extensive international experience in facilities management, with operations and IFM projects across 10 countries and thousands of projects under management.
Meanwhile, Aboitiz Construction's track record across infrastructure and industry sectors provides the JV with the technical experience to support complex facilities.
The JV aims to develop a scalable nationwide IFM platform that responds to the growing demand for integrated facility operations and asset management in the local market, while creating skilled employment opportunities and supporting local talent development.
