“The Apprentice Asia” winner Jonathan Yabut to address Aboitiz student summit

Top motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and author Jonathan Allen Yabut will be the keynote speaker at one of the country's most-awaited youth conferences: the 12th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit (AFLBS).
Known for winning the first season of the hit Asian reality television show “The Apprentice Asia” in 2013 and later serving as AirAsia Chief of Staff reporting directly to Group Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes, Jonathan is now a motivational speaker on leadership, the “Generation Y” workforce, and office productivity for various companies in the region.
The AFLBS is known for passionate keynote speakers who have been successful in their respective fields. Past keynote speakers include Kenneth Cobonpue and Paul Rivera (2016), Rebecca Bustamante (2015), Chieffy Caligdong and Krie Reyes-Lopez (2014), Bianca Gonzalez and Maria Ressa (2013), Gang Badoy (2012), Bam Aquino (2011), Efren Peñaflorida (2010), and Grace Padaca (2009).
“We are excited to have Jonathan speak at this year’s AFLBS, and even more excited to hear his message of personal empowerment and success. We look forward to an engaging and meaningful keynote session among our summit delegates this year,” said Txabi Aboitiz, Chief Human Resource Officer of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (which last October was included among six Filipino-owned companies to have made it in Forbes' Global 2000: World’s Best Employers list).
What began in 2006 as a three-day gathering of Cebu’s brightest student leaders, with the vision of preparing them for the corporate world, is now an annual phenomenon that brings together top-ranking students from the country’s finest universities for a four-day summit on business and leadership, the Aboitiz Way.
The AFLBS will provide participants the opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills and management concepts.  The program—consisting of a plenary session, six breakout sessions, and an exciting mixer activity—will expose student delegates to the world of business, corporate life, responsibility and nation building.
With the theme “Filipino Youth, Global Leaders: We Drive Change for a Better World,” this year’s summit (to be held in Dusit Thani Manila and Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino in Makati and Mactan Cities, respectively) will gather 90 students (56 from Luzon, 24 from Visayas, and 10 from Mindanao) pursuing degrees in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, and Mechanical), Economics, Finance/Accountancy and Psychology— all with potential to create a positive difference as a youth leader here or offshore.
During the summit, top Aboitiz executives and team leaders from different Aboitiz business units such as Erramon I. Aboitiz, Txabi Aboitiz, Sabin M. Aboitiz, Jim Aboitiz, and Dmi Lozano will share their thoughts, experiences, and advice that will inspire and encourage delegates to create a difference in society.
This year’s AFLBS will also re-engage the most number of alumni in its 12-year history in a grand homecoming for AFLBS batches 1 to 11.
