Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corp. turned over a refurbished library as part of their education-related initiative under their community relations program. This year's recipient was Cristo Rey East Elementary School in Capas, Tarlac.
In a turn over ceremony on Aug 10, school principal Dr. Engelbert Agunday thanked Pilmico for their support. The company started the project last year, giving the school library kits.
According to Dr. Agunday, the refurbishment they received enabled them to move forward with DECS' Library Hub program.
In response to this, Pilmico VP-Purchasing Baybee de Vera reiterated the company's focus on education. She encouraged the teachers to let the pupils of the school explore the library and use it as often as their schedule could allow.
Pilmico's refurbishment project is now on its fourth run, fulfilling their corporate social responsibility goals. Since its incorporation in 1997, Pilmico has also been involved in yellow corn production and marketing and gift giving initiatives.
Pilmico is the manufacturer of Pilmico Animal Nutrition, formerly Farmer's Edge. The company has a feed mill in Sto. Domingo II and a swine and breeder operations in Aranguren. Both facilities are located in Capas, Tarlac.
