PILMICO SPONSORS FIRST INTER-SCHOOL COMPUTER COMPETITION

One of Pilmico's thrusts in providing quality education is to expose elementary pupils in the world of information technology. In 2005, five (5) computer units were donated to Northeast II-A Central School and another five (5) to Severo Sara Memorial School, both located in Dalipuga, Iligan City.  Aside from the computer units, Pilmico also provided a computer teacher to these schools to ensure that donated equipment will be fully utilized by its intended beneficiaries.

(AGFI), in cooperation with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. and the Philippine Business for Social Progress, presented to the Department of Education (DepED) and to the different heads of the local government units its intervention in education programs in a formal turnover ceremony at the Ecotech Center in Lahug, Cebu City last Nov. 30.

Aware of the lack  of classrooms among public schools, the Aboitiz Group Foundation, Inc. (AGFI) will donate a three-storey, three-classroom school building to OPRRA National High School, and a one-storey, four-classroom building  to Toong National High School.

AGFI Commences Computer Labs Refurbishment

The Aboitiz Group Foundation, Inc. has commenced the refurbishment of computer laboratories.  Based on the merit system the Foundation has engaged in as its process of selecting its beneficiaries, it has identified 12 school’s computer laboratories to refurbish this year.
